2008 ISI Sportsmanship/Spirit Award

In addition to the swimming competition, all teams will also have an opportunity to reward good sportsmanship which is demonstrated during the Senior State Championship meet. Each team will receive three cards to vote for the ISI Sportsmanship/Spirit Award. The green index card should be filled out by a coach, the yellow card by a swimmer and the orange card by a parent. Please rank the top three teams for the ISI Sportsmanship/Spirit Award in the order you feel most deserving for this award.

Please return these to the Computer Table
no later than noon on Sunday.

The following guidelines should be considered when voting to determine the club to receive the sportsmanship/spirit award:

Sportsmanship:

Handshake initiated by athlete to competitor
Coach recognizes swimmers from other teams
Coach demonstrates positive attitude with own swimmers
Parents from one team speak to other team athletes and parents in a positive manner
Other sings of good sportsmanship by team athletes, coaches and parents

Spirit:

Cheers and posters
Team support for their own team members while competing
Team clothing – athletes, coaches and parents
Other displays of positive team spirit
